One of the core services provided by J.W. Interservices Limited is clearing and forwarding. We have rendered this service since 1987. At inception, we mainly provided this service to the Catholic fraternity in Uganda especially the Dioceses, Church institutions like Hospitals, schools and personnel travelling in and out of the country. However, over time, J.W. Interservices’ clearing and forwarding services have expanded to cover not only the Catholic fraternity but also the entire business and NGO community.
Over the years, we successfully cleared various shipments ranging from medical equipment, cars, humanitarian aid, tools for vocational skills, solar systems, etc. for different organizations and businesses across the cliental in Uganda and neighboring countries.
J.W. Interservices clearing and forwarding services over the period was approved and licensed under the provisions of the East African Community Customs Management Act by Uganda Revenue Authority as a GENERAL CUSTOMS AGENT. For 2019, we are fully accredited by Uganda Revenue Authority under license No: 0407/2019 and affiliated to Uganda Clearing Industry and Forwarding Association (UCIFA).
With the above mandate, we have built the capacity to clear and forward shipments from and to any part of the world. We do this through advising our clients on the documentations needed to get their shipments from point of departure to the final destination. We also guide importers on the tax processes in Uganda. We also plan transportation from Mombasa to final place of delivery, as desired by our clients.
